I am a writer from Redondo Beach, California. I grew up in Arkansas, Jersey (in the British Isles) and Orange County, California. I hold a B.A. in English from U.C. Berkeley and a diploma in Audio Technology from SAE Los Angeles. I also hold a Journalism M.A. from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. I started writing creatively because a teacher once told me—and my entire class—that my poetry is terrible and I should stick to essays; I kept writing essays for the same reason. I am known to go on tangents.
